War films
Following Keurtsing's request, here a few stills from "First Blood" and "Inglorious Bastards" (the choixe of images doesn't really matter, considering that the words spoken are more telling).
Concerning "We were soldiers", considering the duration of the trailer, I think it's best that students choose the images that THEY find appropriate and relevant to their dossiers. Usually, to capture an image on PC, you just need to press the key "Impr écran système" on your keyboard, then open any drawing application (Paint, for example) and then paste the image you captured (and finally, save it).
Here is the link to the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6l9dKnlMhU

Foreword
Dear students and fledglings,
As your mock oral exam is drawing near, it might not be useless to start sharing some ideas about the 4 notions of the cultural programme.
Founding actions and worlds on the move
- myths and heroes
- seats and forms of power
- spaces and exchanges
- the concept of progress
Of course you are strongly encouraged to compose your dossier personally, because after all you will be alone to present and discuss it on D-day. Nevertheless, you may want to exchange and discuss some ideas, remarks, questions or anything about some of the documents that you worked on in class - whether with your favourite male English teacher or the other chicks - in order to develop your ideas.
This page is yours to use and is divided into 4 sections, each corresponding to one notion of the cultural programme. Feel free to post, comment, reply... my only requirement being that this should be done seriously and with courtesy. If this is about organising a bloody couscous party, please consider changing your perspectives for the future. For my part, I don't plan on wasting time moderating a schoolyard forum, but on giving you advice and recommendations in order to help you succeed. Period.
Please also remember that this is a written blog, but your exam around the 4 notions is an oral exam. Active presence on this forum CANNOT substitute for active oral preparation for that examination.
Best regards,
B. Baudin
PS: the details regarding your language examinations for the baccalauréat are available here.
PS2
